2015 Second Quarter
To begin the second quarter, the UpSwing team made time for a development day of our own. Consultants and staff met for three hours to debrief the events of the first quarter and to remain connected to each other. Orchestrated by senior consultants, the event consisted of relationship development, team building, and acknowledgement of individual achievements during first quarter.
In June, CEO, Stephanie Dollschnieder, provided a keynote presentation at the Ameren Illinois Leadership Team conference entitled, “Customer Service is Everyone’s Mission.” Ms. Dollschnieder shared results of two customer contact training initiatives rolled out during the first quarter this year, and provided tips for how to maximize the ROI for these interventions. One of these was to encourage acceptance of a broader definition of “customers.” Customers are not merely external end users, but colleagues, peers, employees, and leaders. According to Ms. Dollschnieder, “Only when everyone, at all levels of an organization, understands this, will the organization begin to create a genuine culture of service.”
