The second half of 2016, began with several exciting events—The first of which was that our team earned National Certification as a Woman-Owned Business through WBENC. This certification will assist many of our clients in achieving their vendor-related objectives.
Secondly, Janice Vietor was promoted to Director – Learning Experience & Curriculum Design. She joined the staff at UpSwing Performance Improvement in 2010. Janice brings a deep understanding of collaborating with diverse groups and a genuine ability to connect with clients. The position was awarded to Janice after having been the lead trainer/facilitator and providing customized curriculum design and development for some of UpSwing’s largest training initiatives. We look forward to Janice’s continued strong contributions in her new role.
Additionally, UpSwing wrapped a highly successful training initiative entitled Effective Interpersonal Skills for Foremen at Spire, Inc. One of our Senior Consultants acquired Certification in facilitation of Crucial Conversations from VitalSmarts. We’re looking forward to serving Nestlé-Purina PetCare (NPPC) in the coming years in their continued employee and leadership development around this important interpersonal skill set.
In October, the Unites States Department of Agriculture brought UpSwing in to provide two keynote presentations. Both, Effectively Resolving Conflict and Understanding & Taking Advantage of Cultural Diversity were very well received.
UpSwing opened November by welcoming the opportunity to serve another new client, Southern Glazer Wine & Spirits. Stephanie Dollschnieder had the pleasure of providing some of their EHS groups from across the U.S. a keynote presentation, entitled Creating the Synergistic Team.
In December, after 10 wonderful years, we completed the final session of the acclaimed UpSwing leadership development Book Series to NPPC. Two of this year’s selections included 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don’t Do, and So Good They Can’t Ignore You. The program was very successful and designed for busy leaders looking for quicker development options. We now offer this development series to all clients.
